Floating Wind Risk Management series

The Floating Wind Risk Management series aims to highlight some of the key risk areas in the Floating Wind industry, providing qualitative data on the impact and consequence to project and technology developers. Data are provided through simulation and analysis of various scenarios using TEMPESTâ„¢ software.

New chapters will be published in a regular basis over the coming months, where each chapter will analyse a specific risk for floating wind, resulting in a comprehensive collection of risk management documents.

Chapter 1 - Port distance impact on installation

Port distance has a significant impact on a floating wind project development. This chapter presents results from analysing distance from port and the impact on installability, utilising evidence-based results produced using TEMPESTâ„¢.

Chapter 2 - Port capacity

Port capacity impacts on installation times and availability of floating wind projects. This chapter focuses on the analysis of the impact of changing port capacities, looking at installation times and operating availability.
